Privacy & Local Data Storage
SideQuestIdeas keeps your journal in this browser. If you sign in with Google, a copy of that journal and your Adventurer Card is saved under your account so it can follow you to other devices. Public pages load a single Google Analytics tag:
Optional Google Sign-In
No account is needed to use the generator, questlines, or journal. If you choose to sign in with Google, Google shares your name, email address, and profile picture with SideQuestIdeas. They are kept in a signed, HTTP-only cookie in your browser for up to 30 days, and a copy of your name, email, and profile picture is stored with your account so the service can recognise you on a later visit. Signing out clears the cookie; deleting the Adventurer Card does not erase the signed-in journal.
Journal storage
Completed records, favorites, custom quests, and sound preferences are stored on this device in your browser. When you are signed in, the same journal is also saved on SideQuestIdeas servers (Cloudflare) under your Google account ID so it can follow you to other devices and so the site operator can see claim, save, and completion counts.
Adventurer Card
The name and activity preferences on your Adventurer Card label your journal and tune quest draws. Signed out, the card is stored in this browser. Signed in with Google, it is saved on SideQuestIdeas servers (Cloudflare) under your Google account ID so it follows you to other devices. You can delete it from the Adventurer Card at any time.
Google Analytics
Public pages load one Google tag (G-75VDV1S0D4) to measure public traffic. No ads, tracking pixels, or data brokerage.
No Advertising, Subscriptions, or Payments
SideQuestIdeas does not use advertising networks, email collection campaigns, payment gateways, or commercial user profiles.
Storage Architecture
Your Local Journal Details
Your accepted quests, daily completions, saved tasks, custom quests, and Life Questline runs are stored under sqi_journal_v2 in this browser, and your Adventurer Card under sqi_profile_v2. When you are signed in, a copy of the journal is also stored with your Google account. Previous storage keys are retained during migration. If damaged data is found, the original is backed up locally before recovery.
Clearing this website’s browser cookies and storage data will remove the local records. A signed-in journal copy remains on the account until you overwrite it by using the journal while signed in on another device.
